RTM TV1




RTM TV1 (TV1, formerly known as RTM1) is a television station in Malaysia that is owned by the Malaysian Government under the Ministry of Information, and operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM). TV1 was launched on December 28, 1963 as Televisyen Malaysia. TV1 airs local and international news, as well as sports, documentaries and talkshow. It was the first and the oldest television channel in Malaysia. TV1 is now broadcasting from 5:45am until 1:00am (1:30am on weekends). TV1 stations that are controlled by RTM are broadcast from their headquarters in Angkasapuri, Kuala Lumpur.

TV1 currently broadcasts under VHF (Very High) Frequency band III and UHF in some areas. However, TV1 still broadcasts under VHF band I in certain remote areas. In the Klang Valley, the VHF channel is 5. It is also available over the RTMi test DVB-T transmission over 658 MHz, SID 1.

TV1 is also available over Astro on Channel 101 (formerly channel 21, then channel 5 and channel 1)
